In our next step to being environmentally friendly we've started to look towards setting our studio up for paperless proofing. With the great tools available in Adobe Acrobat, editors are now able to mark their corrections straight into the pdf file.
Our designers have a double screen setup where they can have the native Indesign file open on one screen and the pdf corrections open on the other, creating a seamless workflow.
The advantages for both the client and designer are significant with:
• No misunderstandings with trying to read handwriting.
• No extra photocoping required for two sets of proofs.
• Time efficient with no courier hassles waiting for proofs to arrive.
• Easier for supplying and inserting new copy in the correct position.
• Colour coding for levels of importance.
• All queries can be listed in one document for ease of final checking.
Just drop us a line if we can help you with paperless proofing.
